Danielle P. Browne

I decided to start blogging in 2008 when I found out that my husband and I were going to have our first child.  I love reading and writing and thought that I’d be able to provide my son and family with a nice little piece of history a few years or decades down the road.  I find it fun to read back on how I felt during certain periods of my life just as much as I find pleasure in writing about them.

If you know anything about me then you know that I’ve lived in quite a few different countries and so that means that I have friends and family spread out all over the world.  My hope is that WordPress will help me in my quest to make me not seem as far away as I really am from many of my loved ones and to perhaps even make new acquaintances along the way.

The subjects that I write about will probably stick to adapting to my new home in France and the daily events that involve raising my son and daughter. Of course I’m also immensely interested in other things like culture in general, how people interact with one another when they are from different backgrounds, teaching young children through art and music, ESL, crafts, design, books, writing, and anything Japanese.

If you happen to have come by this page because you’re someone who I knew while growing up, going to school, through work or some other place, please let me know by posting a comment. I never know who reads this blog and it’s fun to hear from people from my past. I’d also like to hear from you if you’re just stopping by because you were guided here by the natural flow of the blog world. Perhaps we share some of the same experiences or maybe you have something to share that matches up with my interests.

That’s all for now, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

  • Danielle Browne- so lovely to come across your blog. Congratulations on your gorgeous little boy- wonderful news.

    So you’re living in France?

I’ve been in London for the past 9 years and next Friday, I fly home to Australia for good. Big changes, but its time for me to also start a family!

I’m so glad that you found me because I’ve tried to find you without any success! London for 9 years and now you’re going back home – wow, that’s a big change and it sounds very exciting. Moving is tough but it can bring so many great opportunities along the way. Writing to you now I can’t help but thinking back to Malaysia…what a magical time that was. Do you remember our dance performance :) We’ll have to catch up more on facebook and again, I’m so happy to hear from you!
      Huge hugs,

  • bests. there’s a definite flow in ur writing. pls keep sharing :)

    • Thank you very much for taking out the time to write your words of encouragement. The written word is amazing. The power that it has to move our emotions and thrust us into action or cause us to stand still with fear is incredible. It’s nice to hear from someone in your line of work and I look forward to reading what you have to say next (I’ve already peeked at your blog a bit :) ).
