Yesterday was our first “real” Wednesday off. As I mentioned before, there’s no school on Wednesdays over here and so I’ve had to start some new rituals for us. Wednesday seemed like a good day to visit our public library and so we did just that. Mr.T had a wonderful time flipping through picture books of animals and talking about what they looked like and where they lived. It was so great to see the excitement on his face and it just sealed the deal in making Wednesday our family library day.

The early afternoon called for another activity so we baked his papa some chocolate chip cupcakes (which were much appreciated) and then we ended the day with some outside playtime on his moto. While playing he insisted on having his sister (with my help of course) walk towards him, all the while he would encourage her by saying “voilaaaaa” with his arms outstretched and a big smile on his face. She was thrilled, and when she finally reached him he would reward her with a bear hug that lifted her tiny feet off the ground. He would hold her like that for a few seconds and say, “My sister, my sister.” Those moments are so heartwarming.

Today Marie Axelle and I watched him and his papa walk to school from our balcony. His little backpack was bouncing up and down and he looked so tiny in the distance. There goes my little heart, there goes my boy.

Love and light,
