vide grenier

read my lips, "I-DO-NOT-WANT-TO-GO-YOUR-WAY"

We went to a vide grenier in Cyreste yesterday morning. It’s basically a common yard sale where everyone gathers in one area to sell all of their old items. I had no idea that Cyreste’s vide grenier would be so large, but in fact it was and we spent a lot of time going from table to table trying to see if we could make out with something good. After a lot of looking (mostly, well only, for toys) we came home with a wooden horse stable that  now serves as a garage (or car shop) for my boy’s cars.

Later on in the afternoon we went to a tea party at a friend’s house. Every year she picks a specific flower (of course I don’t have an inkling as to what it’s called…) by the basket full, washes them and either bakes them in lovely cakes or fries them up in a batter. They are delicious either way. The only down side to the event was the fact that Pierre’s migraine came back and we had to leave early, very early. Like within half an hour after arriving early.

Now it’s time for a little barbeque to end our day.

Love and light,
