peas and paint with a bit of a shadow

May 5, 2011 § 2 Comments

Mr.T had another fantastic cooking and painting class today. I swear to God that his teacher is just incredible and she seriously makes me want to start an atelier of my own in which kids come everyday to do fun projects. However, that is nothing but a dream for the time being as I’ve got some other important things that I’ve got to tend to – but you never know.

Anyhow, today’s class was based around shadows and the kids had a wonderful time playing with flashlights in different ways and viewing all of the whimsical shadows that their teacher cast on the wall. She used all kinds of objects (some of which were in bright colors) and the effects were great. The kids were then made to cast their shadow on a long piece of white paper that they later colored in, inblack. And for dessert they baked brownies. Life cannot get any better than that!!

love and light,

animals can cast a shadow as well

lights, lights, lights everywhere

making a bolder outline

And this evening it was time to help his mama shell peas again. Kids love the simplest things at times.
