little birds

the last birds of winter

This is a first: Théo said good bye to Pierre today as he was leaving for work. Pierre usually walks outside and then looks in through our kitchen window to make funny faces at Théo before leaving. It’s funny to watch the two of them and it was even cuter this time since our little guy realized that it was an appropriate time to wave.

Last week was another first because Théo finally received his first passport, the one from France. He has a nationality! Hip hip hooray! Now if I can just get everything together in order to process his American passport… As a side note, Théo also said “bye bye” last week :) my heart melted.

Two weeks ago Pierre and Théo played “chase” for the first time. Oh my gosh, it was so fun to see him instinctively know that he had to turn around and run (with my help of course) the other way when being chased by someone. Awesome experience that was. And today he was able to stand up for a few seconds, and then actually take a step on his own, during his gym class.

What’s even better is that he started interacting with the other babies in class more. He went up to them, laughed with them, “talked” to them and even held hands with one of them. A real social butterfly!

By the way, the birds were made by me about two weeks ago while Théo was napping outside in his stroller after one of our morning walks. It was way too nice for me to go back inside again.

two are better than one
